Allyson has experience working with individuals, families, children, adolescents, adults, and groups for almost 10 years now. She works with clients who are experiencing difficulties in their lives from anxiety, depression, and trauma to relationship and behavioral health issues. Allyson utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy including Parent-Child Relationship Training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
Education/Training/Certifications:
Allyson is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (P-PLC) in the state of Mississippi. She received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Allyson is currently working to pursue further training and education.
Ages & Issues Treated:
Allyson has experience working with a variety of ages and backgrounds, but her passion is helping children and adolescents who have experienced any type of trauma and dealing with the effects of the trauma.
Goals & Vision for Therapy:
Allyson aims to walk alongside her clients who are hurting - no matter what the hurt looks like. She hopes she can provide a sense of "we're in this together" for her clients. Her ultimate goal is to provide emotional, physical, and spiritual healing.
