We offer hope through counseling by experienced therapists who provide professional mental health services for children and their families in difficult situations. Whether at a child’s home or in our clinic, therapy sessions are family-oriented and research-based to ensure the highest quality care. Counseling Services are provided in 48 parishes in Northern and South-Central Louisiana and 7 counties in Central Mississippi. Additionally, Medication Management services are provided at The Hope Center in West Monroe, Louisiana. The reasons children may need counseling services include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Behavior Issues (at home, school, or community)
- Suicide Risk
- Family Conflict and Crisis
- Anger or Violence
- Trauma (including abuse and neglect)
- Running Away
- Grief and Loss
- Mental Health Issues
These fall broadly under the categories of emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues. Children may feel depressed, be acting out, or be struggling to manage with very difficult life circumstances.
The Center for Children and Families has developed innovative treatment programs that specifically target fractured family relationships. Services are delivered in the natural environment to ensure that the therapist can fully participate in activating resources available to families. Our goal is to empower families and offer hope.
