Volunteer
As a volunteer, you can make all the difference in the life of a child who has experienced abuse or neglect in the community. Children in foster care who have a CASA volunteer are more likely to succeed in school and adjust to change. You will spend time gathering information from key players in his or her life— family members, social workers, foster parents, teachers, doctors or any other relevent people in a child’s life. A CASA volunteer is acting as the eyes and ears for a judge— giving vital insight to help determine what is in the child’s best interest. They’re also half as likely to re-enter the foster care system later. By getting involved, you can change a child’s story.
Give
Each year we serve thousands of children who are struggling with challenges that no child should face alone. Our mission is to Be the Hope that is desperately needed when these difficult times come. From our Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program to our Therapeutic Services Division or the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Request Training
We believe that education is the first step towards prevention. The Children's Advocacy Center of Northeast Louisiana is proud to offer these free trainings to schools, churches, or other groups in the community on child abuse and human trafficking prevention.
The Christmas Project
At the end of each year, The Center for Children and Families magically transforms into “Santa’s Workshop” filled with toys, clothing, and gifts of all shapes and sizes for local kids in need! It’s all part of The Christmas Project, an annual community gift drive that ensures every child we serve gets to experience the joy of Christmas morning.
