Emily Jones, Ph.D., LMFT-S, LPC-S
Counselor
Emily believes we're all doing the best we can with what we have. Whether it's because of the loss of a loved one, a traumatic event, a string of bad luck, or negative family dynamics - no one wants to be stuck. She enjoys coming alongside individuals and families that are open to the hope that making changes and connection can bring.
Emily works from a trauma-informed perspective. She truly believes that connection can bring transformation if we learn how to lean into it and understand ourselves in the midst of it.
Education/Training/Certifications:
Emily has her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is also a state supervisor for both of those licenses.
She is trained in the following:
- Eye Movement Desensitization Processing (EMDR)
- Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
Ages & Issues Treated:
Emily works with children ages 3 and up and their families.
When working with younger children, she requests that a parent/guardian be present and engaged in sessions. Her training in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) lends itself toward working with parents who need assistance with kiddos from hard places.
Goals & Vision for Therapy:
When working with clients, Emily’s goal is to help them move toward wholeness. She believes that hurts don't happen in isolation, so we must heal them through connection. Emily's goal is to connect each client and their family to one another so that they can face whatever comes their way.
